Arks Of The New Covenant

Christians living in the kingdom of God(Jesus Movement) now are the arks of the new covenant. Their primary responsibility is to spread the good news and to be a blessing to others, wherever they go.

Mark 16:15 -20.  And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. .And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.” So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by accompanying signs.

The Ark Of The Covenant became famous throughout the world, because who ever had possession of it was both blessed and protected supernaturally. So what was it that gave the Ark it's powers ? Of course it was the spirit of God himself, that lived inside of the Ark. The biggest difference between humanity's relationship with God before and after Christ's death, is before Christ's death, common man neither Jews nor Gentiles had access to the power of God. Yahweh only gave his power to servants he chose to accomplish his will; people such as Elijah and Moses. God had an awesome plan that his chosen people couldn't comprehend or understand. The Israelites always thought they would be God's only people and that satanic false belief, created an enormous amount of pride in their hearts, which led to their downfall.

Proverbs 16:18-19. Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. It is better to be of a lowly spirit with the poor than to divide the spoil with the proud.

Matthew 23:12. For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.

Isaiah 66:2. Has not my hand made all these things, and so they came into being?" declares the LORD. "This is the one I esteem: he who is humble and contrite in spirit, and trembles at my word.

They were actually called to be priests of God. This priestly kingdom of people was suppose to be a light unto the entire planet, so that when we Gentiles saw them we would want what they had; which was a personal relationship with the eternal creator. They for the most part didn't understand God's plan and the ones that did rejected it. So what was God's ultimate plan for humanity ?

Genesis 22:15-18. And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time. And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

The statement in thy seed all the nations will be blessed posed a huge problem for God's chosen ones. For God's chosen ones saw all these nations God planned to bless as the enemy. The dagger in the hearts of god's chosen ones was, that the Samaritans and foreigners began to admit they were sinners, repent of their evil ways and they began to turn to God. They were eagerly awaiting the messiah because they knew they were stuck in habitual sins and they believed he could save them. The Israelites on the other hand believed they were the people of God and often bragged on their ability to keep the commandments, contrasting themselves with the Samaritans who could not and often publicly failed at keeping them. Jesus, recognizing the deep divide between the two groups, attempted to bridge the gap.

Luke 10:25-37. And behold, a lawyer stood up to put him to the test, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”  He said to him, “What is written in the Law? How do you read it?” And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.” And he said to him, “You have answered correctly; do this, and you will live.” But he, desiring to justify himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” Jesus replied, “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell among robbers, who stripped him and beat him and departed, leaving him half dead. Now by chance a priest was going down that road, and when he saw him he passed by on the other side. So likewise a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side.  But a Samaritan, as he journeyed, came to where he was, and when he saw him, he had compassion. He went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he set him on his own animal and brought him to an inn and took care of him. And the next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper, saying, ‘Take care of him, and whatever more you spend, I will repay you when I come back.’  Which of these three, do you think, proved to be a neighbor to the man who fell among the robbers?” He said, “The one who showed him mercy.” And Jesus said to him, “You go, and do likewise.”

Luke 15:11-32. And he said, “There was a man who had two sons.  And the younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the share of property that is coming to me.’ And he divided his property between them. Not many days later, the younger son gathered all he had and took a journey into a far country, and there he squandered his property in reckless living. And when he had spent everything, a severe famine arose in that country, and he began to be in need.

So he went and hired himself out to[one of the citizens of that country, who sent him into his fields to feed pigs. And he was longing to be fed with the pods that the pigs ate, and no one gave him anything.“But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father's hired servants have more than enough bread, but I perish here with hunger! I will arise and go to my father, and I will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you.  I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Treat me as one of your hired servants.”’

And he arose and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him. And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son." But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring quickly the best robe, and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet. And bring the fattened calf and kill it, and let us eat and celebrate. For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.’ And they began to celebrate.

“Now his older son was in the field, and as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing.  And he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant. And he said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and your father has killed the fattened calf, because he has received him back safe and sound.’ But he was angry and refused to go in. His father came out and entreated him,  but he answered his father, ‘Look, these many years I have served you, and I never disobeyed your command, yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might celebrate with my friends. But when this son of yours came, who has devoured your property with prostitutes, you killed the fattened calf for him!’ And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours. It was fitting to celebrate and be glad, for this your brother was dead, and is alive; he was lost, and is found.’

The Lost son parable is obviously referring to the Samaritans if you know their history. So can you see now how a spirit of pride, caused the people of God to lose their inheritance time and time again. That same spirit of pride is very active in the church today. God's house once again has become a house of merchandise, cleverly disguised as teaching tapes and books that speak more about the author's life and what he or she had to go through rather than glorifying Christ. Jesus came to show us the way. More importantly, he promised after he died that he will send the same spirit that gave the Ark it's power to all of humanity. That spirit is often referred to as the Holy Spirit or comforter. Today, sadly people are still looking for the temple of God to be rebuilt and the Man Of Sin(antichrist) will deceive most of humanity when he stands in this building and declares himself to be God. People the last temple is Christ himself; isn't that enough.

John 2:19-22. Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” The Jews then said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will you raise it up in three days?” But he was speaking about the temple of his body. After he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered he had said this, and they believed both the Scriptures and what Jesus had said.

People the temple of God was created so that God's children can come there and worship. The physical temple of God will never be built again; there is no need for it. Why ?

Jeremiah 31:31-34. “Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant that they broke, though I was their husband, declares the LORD. But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the LORD: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”

When God says he will write his laws on their heart what he is saying is I will send them the Holy Spirit, which leads and guides man in all wisdom. Today there is no need to go to a temple or building to be taught by preachers, priest or prophets; in your own home if you will pick up the bible and read for yourselves then God will teach you right there in your own home. The primary function of today's church buildings is not to give people the word, as people can arrange to meet with each other themselves. The primary function of the buildings are to serve as shelters for the poor and to provide food for the hungry; not to finance the pastors cars and houses. Obviously the church members and leaders have lost their way, many never knew the way at all because they never read the word for themselves so they were easily deceived.

Matthew 25:31-46. “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’

“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’ Then they also will answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?’ Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’ And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

I do believe a temple will be built but it will be for the man of sin better known as the Anti Christ and when he speaks from it he will deceive many. Signs and wonders will follow him and people who have never had an experience with the supernatural will believe in the supernatural at this time. They will see these miraculous signs and wonders with their own eyes and therefore believe and obey(worship) the Anti Christ. However, those of us that are called to be Arks Of The New Covenant will not be deceived, for the Holy Spirit lives within us and it can't be deceived therefore we can't.

In conclusion, Christians are The Arks Of The New Covenant and they are to be a blessing wherever they go. And these signs will accompany those who believe says Yeshua: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover." Along with signs, there are also many gifts of the spirit that are given to those who believe. They are well-documented in the new testament. Some of these gifts include the gift of prophecy, the gift of discernment of spirits(I have this one), the gift of teaching, the laying on off hands(healing), the gift of service, the gift of exhortation(ability to motivate others), the gift of wisdom(Solomon), and the gift of giving etc. So brothers and sisters in Christ, remember your bodies are the temples of God and within your temple bodies, the spirit of God resides; given you power to accomplish his will on earth. You Are the Arks Of The New Covenant so make sure to be a blessing wherever you go. God Bless
